Frame Bar. Co Service

  • What makes FrameBar different from other optometry clinics?

We combine full-spectrum eye care and aesthetic treatments under one roof, so you can get both vision and beauty care in one convenient visit.

  • Do you accept vision insurance?

Yes — we accept many major vision plans. (Specifics may vary by plan.) Please contact us with your provider name and we’ll verify coverage for you.

  • How often should I have an eye exam?

For most healthy adults, once annually is ideal. Some individuals at higher risk (e.g. diabetic patients, glaucoma family history) may require more frequent exams.

  • What should I bring to my first appointment?

Bring your current glasses or contact lenses, insurance card (if applicable), medical history, and any list of medications. Also, arrive a few minutes early for registration.

  • Is dilation always necessary during an eye exam?

Not always. We decide on a case‑by‑case basis. Dilation helps us view the retina and internal eye structures thoroughly.

  • Can I drive home after dilation?

Near vision may be blurry and pupils will be light sensitive for several hours. We recommend having sunglasses and possibly arranging alternate transportation if you’re sensitive to light.

  • What types of contact lenses do you offer?

We offer a full range: daily disposables, toric lenses for astigmatism, multifocals, specialty lenses, and more. We’ll help you find the best fit for comfort and vision.

  • How do I decide between glasses and contacts?

We’ll assess your lifestyle, visual needs, eye health, and preferences to recommend what works best — many patients use both.

  • Do you offer designer frames?

Yes — we have a curated selection of high-end and stylish frames in a variety of materials and styles to suit your taste and prescription.

  • Can I just get new lenses in my current frame?

In many cases, yes. Bring in your frames and we’ll evaluate if re-lensing is possible. If not, we’ll help you find an upgrade.

  • How long does it take to get my glasses?

Once your prescription and frame choice are finalized, typical turnaround is a few business days. Custom lenses or coatings may take slightly longer.

  • What is your policy for frame adjustments or repairs?

We provide complementary adjustments and minor repairs for frames purchased from us. For major damage, we’ll assess and recommend options.

  • Do you treat dry eye or blepharitis?

Yes. We offer customized therapies, including medical-grade drops, in-office treatments, and lifestyle recommendations to manage these conditions.

  • Can you monitor and manage glaucoma?

Yes. We perform advanced diagnostic testing and ongoing management to slow progression and preserve vision.

  • Do you offer LASIK co‑management?

Absolutely. We’ll evaluate your candidacy, prepare your eyes before surgery, and handle your post-op care to support your best visual outcome.

  • What aesthetic or skincare treatments do you offer?

We offer select aesthetic services such as treatments for eyelid health, anti-aging around the eyes, and skincare compatible with eye health. We use reputable, gentle medical-grade products (we’ll share brand details during consultation).

  • Is there a minimum age for eye exams or contact lenses for children?

No hard age limit—our team adapts to each child’s maturity, cooperation, and needs. We routinely work with infants, school-age children, and teens.

  • I already have an eye prescription from another clinic — can I come to FrameBar?

Yes. We’ll review your current prescription, perform a health evaluation, and determine whether an update or new fitting is needed.

  • What causes digital eye strain and how can I prevent it?

Long screen time causes fatigue, dry eyes, and discomfort. Try the 20‑20‑20 rule (every 20 minutes, look 20 feet away for 20 seconds), use proper lighting, and consider lenses with blue‑light filters.

  • What’s the difference between an optometrist, ophthalmologist, and optician?

    • An optometrist (OD) conducts eye exams, prescribes glasses/contacts, and treats many eye diseases.
    • An ophthalmologist is a medical doctor (MD/DO) who can perform eye surgery.
    • An optician fits and dispenses eyewear based on prescriptions.

What Our Customers Are Saying About Us

I had a great experience at Frames.co when I needed to fill my 3 year old's prescription for his first pair of glasses. Having never worn glasses ourselves, my husband and I needed to be educated on options for frames and lenses, specifically for children. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly and they allowed my son to try on a bunch of styles before he picked his favorite pair. They even threw in a free year-long protection warranty as a thank you for being new customers. The glasses were ready in less than a week and my son has been obsessed with them ever since.

CLIENT REVIEW

★★★★★

The staff at Frame Bar Co were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. This was my first pair of glasses. Daniel was so helpful and made the process seamless and fun. He helped me pick out a pair of glasses that suited my style. Dr. Calderon was extremely knowledgeable and performed my eye exam. He corrected an error made by a previous optometrist at another practice. Liz was also very helpful. She called me to let me know when my glasses were ready for pick up. The team has excellent communication and I would highly recommend them to anyone needing an eye exam or new glasses!
